Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist – low secure service
Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC registered band 7 or 8a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to work within a specialist low secure service based on the borders of South East London and Kent.
Site summary
The post holder will be joining an MDT who work within a low secure hospital for young adults aged 12- 18 who have an overall CQC rating of “Good.” This service also benefits from having a school attached to this site to enable the young people to get full support with their education.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will be providing assessments, risk management and intervention using CBT, DBT and/or schema therapy. The service users present with ASD and complex mental health presentations such as PTSD. The maximum caseload held will be 12 under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Hours – Full time ideally, part time applications will be considered.
Salary – £39,000 – £48,000 FTE
Experience required:
Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists with experience working with complex mental health and ideally specifically with adolescents.
